And The Time Flies Again

Another week has flown by and I have not found any extra minutes to update. I took a random day trip to Silver City to snap some vintage photos with Aimee and Nichole. Then had to turn around and run right out to a 2-day trip to Seattle with Nichole. We went on a mass fabric hunt for some new scrapbook designs. Tons of great ideas is what we came back with, can't wait to get some of them on books! I've only been to Seattle one other time and I just love it there so much. I like rain-y days and overcast skies so it's right up my ally. Nichole and I ran non-stop while we were there in order to pack as much into our short trip as possible. Here are a few photo highlights of our shenanigans. (They uploaded in all sorts of a crazy order so i'm going with it and just narrating along the way)

Playing A Little Catch Up

Well it's about time I catch up here. I had a great, much needed, trip to Las Vegas. It was so good hanging out with Jeanine and catching up. I realize that I'm very lucky to have friends that I've known for 26 years and we still make time to get together. I took a few pics that I'll have to upload later because I'm currently writing from my new MacBook and there are no photos on it yet! I'll take care of that tomorrow. What can I say? I have a very generous boss who must have definitely heard my not so subtle hints about needing a laptop!

I'm so happy to have this new little toy and not only will it make me a super employee ;) but a better blogger and myspacer and everything else! I do have to do a little re-learning of some basic PC skills but I think I'm up to the challenge. 

One more thing before I finish up. I found this cool website, wordle.net and I made a little 'word cloud' . I hope the link takes you to the one I made because I couldn't figure out how to copy it and paste it here. Even though it's not copy and paste friendly it is a neat-o little site and you should check it out. (The copy and paste issue could be user error too)

First Day of School

Meet The Teacher

Well, last night was meet the teacher at Riley's school. He will start Kindergarten tomorrow

and I couldn't be sadder! Riley is very excited even though Kolbi is the exact opposite.

My Birthday Week

Well, it's over. My birthday was Saturday and my week of 'all about me' has come to an end. It was a great birthday for me starting with a tattoo (my gift from Justin) and ending with a full day at the Lake on Sunday. Here's some highlights...

I love my new tattoo and will soon be adding two more stars to it (I feel like the one is lonely).
We had a nice birthday dinner on Friday at Red Robin. Just so you know, when you turn in the birthday email they absolutely will sing and embarrass you! I was under the impression that someone at the table would have to request it and boy, was I mistaken! I did have a very delicious California Chicken Burger - my favorite there!


Riley lead me by hand through our neighborhood to the coffee shop on the corner for my 'surprise' coffee on Saturday morning. This was so cool because it was his idea and he was so proud of himself for coming up with my present!
My birthday box arrived from Angel and it rocked! LOVE my Macayo's salsa :)


Saturday evening was full of so much fun with the girls. We had a dinner before scrap night and they went all out with a cake and wonderful gifts! I don't have pics from that night though because I think they are on Aimee or Nichole's camera... I'll have to work on that. There was even a 'guest gift' from Sandy - a so cool pin-up girl book (to add to the Bettie Page lunch box she sent earlier in the week)!


To round off the weekend we spent all day Sunday at Owyhee Reservoir on the boat. I took so many pics and here are some of them...

Got Me Some Cowgirl Hair

So here it is, the pic to prove that I went to a Rodeo. There's a lot of cowboys in Idaho, and they love the CNR (Caldwell Night Rodeo). It's a huge deal around here and I guess in many rodeo circles. I hear that our local CNR is one of the worlds top 25 rodeos and is filmed in full to be played on ESPN. My friend Aimee is a huge rodeo fan (and former Ms. Idaho Rodeo Queen) and she insisted that Nichole and I go with her to this years rodeo. We loaded up on western wear, jewelry, makeup and hairspray for a girls night out. I took several pics of the riding but it was getting dark and the pics aren't that great. I'll work on touching them up in photoshop so that they look decent. We had fun, the rodeo was totally a blast and we hung out until the wee hours of the morning. Can't believe I even woke up this morning! So more pics later and no makin' fun of the big hair! Ha Ha
