The Big Day...SATC

Well, today is the day that many of us women have been waiting for... the Sex And The City MOVIE! I will be seeing the 7:40 showing along with the girls in AZ that way we can all discuss it tomorrow! I know, we are goofy but hey - we love those girls! Nichole, Aimee and I will be sure to get a photo snapped tonight so that I can post it tomorrow!

An Extra Day Off

I know not all of us get a day off for Memorial Day but this year I do and it's nice! I'm taking the found day and catching up on things that need it! Like updating my blog :) We had a great little trip to Utah followed by a busy week of work, classes as the scrapbook store and BBQ's so there has not been a lot of time to share the pics!
I took so many pictures on our trip to the Dinosaur Park and Lagoon. Way more than I could possibley post here so I will use just one, group shot. Excuse our stringy wet hair and clothes, this was after our Rattlesnake Rapids ride and as you can see, we got a little wet.

If you want to see all the pics check out my myspace, they are much easier to upload in large amounts over there! We all came back with lots of IKEA goodies and in the need of a nap.

Busy Times

Wow, this month is flying by. I had a great Mother's Day that included a family trip to see Iron Man. I've gotta say this was a pretty good movie. Kept my interest and Riley loved it (of course). Even Kolbi walked out with the elusive smile on her face. So if you have a 4-6 year old boy who loves super heroes you can both go see this and like it.

I also got a new pair of tennies i've been eye-ing.
Last week was super busy between bargain shopping with Nichole and preparing for our yard sale on Saturday (total waste of time, by the way!) But this week i'm reaping the benefits with tons of free Cover Girl make-up and enough gas cards to pay for our trip to Utah this weekend, thank you Walgreens.

I did manage to squeeze in one project. It was included in my work newsletter so excuse the weird format - I only have this version of the picture saved. The CREATE letters are made from foam board and then decorated - I'll have to get a closer picture, I'm really happy with how they turned out.

We leave bright and early Friday morning for our Lagoon trip. Lexi is dancing in the Clogging Nationals that are being held at Lagoon Theme Park in Farmington, Utah on Saturday.

Lexi's whole entourage will be there - The Fogle's, The Farrell's and The Dines'. It should prove to be lots of fun, we've got a trip to the Dinosaur Park as well as IKEA included. I'm sure there will be about 600 photos taken between the three cameras - LOL!
And finally, I took Nichole's advice and watched P.S. I Love You last night....
Wow, that was a tear jerker. What a good movie, not a dry eye in the house though and soooo emotional. I think I'll add it to my collection for those times when I need a good cry. I recomend it, drag your hubby, it will make him appreciate you (and vice versa).

Creative Juices

We spent all day Sunday in the backyard. It was such a beautiful day and my yard definately needed some love! So we all (except Kolbi - she "doesn't like gardening") spent the day mowing, weeding, cleaning and planting. We have big garden plans this year. Last year we planted two tomato plants and wholy cow, at the end of the season this is what we were left with:So this year we are going to do an entire herb garden as well as zuchinni, pumpkin, lettuce, tomato, peppers and whatever else we can get in the ground! I've also started a little catnip for Steve - he loves that stuff. It was a lot of fun and now my yard is beautiful and BBQ ready!

Now, I just had to post a pic of this purse that I made a few weeks ago! I have a ton of purse patterns, I love the idea of making my own purses. This adorable cherry fabric had been bought about 6 months ago and promplty cut out into a purse pattern. That's where it stayed for 6 months. I randomly decided to complete it the other day (with a little help from Carol) and I'm soooo happy with the results! I've been carrying it around since. The green inside makes it!
And finally, my most recent creation. Thank you Angel and Tonia for the idea! I taught this class at Scrapadoodles last week and am selling kits for it like crazy. I especially love the paper. It's Basic Grey's Boxer line and sooo pretty. It's hanging in the scrap store for now but will eventually make a great addition to my kitchen wall! When I hang it up I want to trade the white paper on the side for a coat of chalk board paint - cute!
