Fluffy Pink Tutus
Do you think 13 is too old for a tutu? Yeah, neither do I! Actually, after making this one for Kolbi's Halloween costume I don't think 29 is either (you know, because I'm 29 *wink *wink). Although mine would definitely have to be black.

A Fall Field Trip
Well Riley had his first field trip and it was to the Linder Farms Pumpkin Patch.
Both the kindergarten classes went and I have to say that it was the largest parent turn out that i've ever witnessed! There was more than one adult to each kid. (We had Carol and I there for Riley!) There was lots of fun to be had, petting zoo area, hay bale maze, corn maze, hay ride and of course the actual pumpkin picking. Riley was a little difficult with his absolute refusal to pose in a group photo. Two were taken and Riley ran the other way yelling both times. I tried to trick him once by just saying that his teacher needed to talk to him. Unfortunately two parents busted me by telling him to head over to the photo! I wanted to yell - Don't talk to my kid! You gotta be tricky when your boy is anti-photo. Overall it was a good day though, he wanted a green pumpkin and was so happy to have found it.

Take A Moment
It's been a sad weekend around here. Nichole and Chris have lost a good friend. He was a father, friend, son, good guy and way too young to go. I know that he will be missed. I can't help but feel the need to take some time and be sure that everyone close to me knows how much they mean to me. I am very lucky to have such good friends and family to love. I am really good at remembering people that I need to keep in touch with but not so good at the follow through. Life shouldn't be too busy to write a note or make a phone call just to say 'Hi, I was thinking about you.' Forget about the dirty house and read a book to your son or watch a goofy movie with your daughter. I'm glad that I take a ridiculous amount of pictures so that I have lots of photos of my favorite people to reminisce over. If you take the time out of your day to read my blog (all three of you?!) then you are important to me too and know that I appreciate your friendship. So let's all start keeping in touch and making sure our people know we care, I think that is a good way to honor a lost friend. Goodbye Levi.

Blogging at the Airport
Well I'm sitting in the airport in Florida watching my plane pull up and thought I'd upload a photo shot at Cocoa Beach this morning. The Atlantic Ocean was the perfect temperature and I wish i'd had time to hang out there all day.
